Site manager (Aquarius Project)

March 2018 till January 2021

Site Manager for Entrepose Contracting for the Aquarius Project, France. This project saw the erection of an Island Berth for White product unloading and transfer to an Existing Terminal. It was comprised of several activities including 800 000m3 dredging to allow 2 unloading arms installation on Concrete platform and Berthing along with required Piping, Electrical and Instrumentation system in addition the Control Room platform linked to onshore installation through a 24” Pipeline both Offshore (1350m) and Onshore (3100m). As such, this project saw the cohabitation of Offshore, Nearshore and Onshore crews engaged in a wide range of activities including but not limited to dredging, civil works, structural and piping works, pipeline works, electrical and instrumentation works, pre-commissioning works and assistance to the commissioning. My main role on this project was to ensure the implementation and follow up of HSE, Quality System and Coordination of the overall activities as Leader of the Consortium of 5 Vinci Group Entities including their subcontractors for the duration of the Project.

Given the time frame of the Project, the numerous interfaces both disciplines and company wise, Lean Construction was implemented on this Project. Given Entrepose Contracting was the Leader of the Consortium, implementation and follow up of the Lean Construction process was our responsibility.

Even though COVID pandemia hit the Project as everywhere in the World, we, our Client and our Consortium, were able to maintain our targets and achieve our timely delivery. As such, I was part of the team who put in place the necessary elements on site to ensure the protection of the personnel and work continuity.
